FAQ
1. What's the difference between urlB and regular bookmarks?
urlB is workflow-oriented. It supports one-click tab archiving, group-based restore, drag-and-drop organization, staging-area batch operations, and collaborative sharing, rather than just static saving.
2. Can I get back to my original flow after archiving?
Yes. You can restore by group into a new window, the current window, or a private window, which is ideal for resuming the full context of a topic-based task.
3. How can I quickly find what I need when there are too many tabs?
Use global search (group names, titles, and URLs), then combine it with keyboard navigation and regex search mode to locate targets faster.
4. What if I accidentally delete a group or item?
Explicit deletions first go to the recycle bin. You can restore, restore and open, or permanently delete; for critical groups, delete protection is recommended.
5. What is the staging area for?
The staging area fits a "collect first, organize later" workflow. You can gather candidate links first, then batch-copy or move them into new groups to reduce repetitive work.
6. Which import and export formats are supported?
Export supports single-line, multi-line, Markdown, JSON, and custom formats; import supports single-line, multi-line, and rich-text paste parsing.
7. Can I share groups with teammates?
Yes. You can create share links for groups, set expiration, and choose whether notes/star marks are included; later, you can update or cancel sharing.
8. How should I handle long-term backup and migration?
It's recommended to export JSON regularly for full backups, and export Markdown as needed for knowledge-base references, so your data remains portable in the long run.
