1.2.1 — 2026-08-16
Builds on 1.2.0’s preview and image work with better search and tagging, smoother inserts, and more reliable fonts and Windows behavior.
Find & organize
- List search accepts explicit
AND, alongsideOR/NOTand parentheses; CJK and Latin matching is closer to the text you see - Tag autocomplete while typing, so you can pick tags you already use
Editing & fonts
- Insert horizontal rules and footnotes; with the caret on a reference or definition, add a definition or jump between them
- UI and preview fonts stay more consistent, with steadier fallbacks for missing glyphs
Reliability
- Windows: more reliable preview assets, window restore, and clean-system installs
- Also: Mac preview copy shortcuts, dismissing tag suggestions, and Settings layout polish
1.2.0 — 2026-07-23
Focused on preview and images: SVG in notes, better math / code / footnote rendering, and clearer failures when preview breaks.
Images
- Insert SVG into notes; GIF / SVG preview stays clearer and more faithful (not forced through the ordinary thumbnail pipeline)
Preview
- Better math rendering and syntax highlighting in preview
- Cleaner footnote presentation in preview
- Clear errors when rendering fails; broken internal links no longer take down the whole page
1.1.0 — 2026-07-16
Compared with 1.0.1, this release keeps the writing-first path while adding desktop workflows, system share / import-export, and basic site publishing.
Organize & find
- Folders are now called Spaces (still one level of scope + nested tags)
- Note list supports pinning and fuller keyboard navigation
- Filter fields such as search keep a query history (shortcut recall depends on the app)
- List full-text search: multiple keywords must all match by default; supports
OR,-/NOTexclusion, quoted exact phrases, and parentheses; searches the text you see (case- and common Latin-accent–insensitive)
Editing & desktop
- Desktop: command palette, recent-notes overlay, list keyboard navigation, configurable shortcuts
- Font size: UI size and editor body size can be adjusted separately
- Common inserts such as task lists, tables, and formulas; template placeholders can be filled with Tab
- Desktop supports image paste / drag-and-drop; PDF export is available from the command palette or shortcuts
- Windows: window title is Abox Note; position, size, and maximized state restore after quit
Share, import & export
- On mobile, create notes via system Share (a single-line URL is turned into a titled Markdown link when possible)
- Some systems support Quick Actions from the home-screen icon
- Settings support note import / export (including ZIP, with optional space filters)
Site publishing
- Publish a space as a static site with in-app preview / export / deploy (powered by Everkm Publish)
- Abox Note only covers the basic path; themes, config, wikilinks, and advanced deployment are documented at Everkm Publish
